The Quran, the Night of Power and the Holy Hours of Ramadan

All Praises be to God, Lord of the worlds, and may blessings and peace be upon the Master of the Prophets and Messengers. In this important article, we will study about the Holy Quran, the Night of Power and the Holy Hours of Ramadan.

This is the blessed night in which the Holy Quran was revealed. This night is better than thousands of months and thousands of years in terms of its value and worth. Whoever prays on this night is given the good news of forgiveness of all sins. Like every night, this night also has the Holy Hour in which prayers are accepted. Whatever good is asked for in religion and the world is granted.

Which night is this?

In the hadiths, it has been said to perform Qiyaam on the odd nights of Ramadan (i.e. the twenty-first, twenty-third, twenty-fifth, twenty-seventh and twenty-ninth) to search for this blessed night. This is also the blessed practice of the last Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to observe I’tikaf during the last ten nights of Ramadan every year to seek the Night of Decree.

Why was this night kept hidden?

This night was kept hidden so that the members of the Ummah of Muhammad (peace be upon him) should be busy in the search and pursuit of this night, work hard, and keep their fire of desire burning. They should search for this holy night in every odd night of the last ten days because the more a person loves something, the more he seeks it.

This night has been kept hidden in the holy hours of the Quran, the Night of Power, and Ramadan so that the believing servant can worship and practice as much as possible and achieve the pleasure and happiness of Allah Almighty. This is because the hour of acceptance of prayer comes every night, but on the Night of Power, the style and color of this hour (of acceptance) is somewhat different. Its glory and effectiveness are different.

Prayer for the Night of Power

Umm al-Mu’minin Hazrat Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) says that I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) what should I pray to Allah Almighty if I get to see the Night of Power? The Prophet (PBUH) said, “Suppose you pray in these words.”

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّى

Alllahumm ‘innak eafuww tuhibb aleafw faef u eanni

Oh my God! If you don’t have a card, otherwise you won’t have a card, but you won’t have to worry about it.

Conclusion

From the above discussion, it can be concluded that there is a very close connection between the Quran, the Night of Power, and the Holy Month of Ramadan. May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to serve our brothers and sisters in the sacredness of the Quran, the Night of Power, and the Holy Month of Ramadan.
