According to Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) declared: “Whoever stays at night, his sins are forgiven, and whoever fasts in Ramadan, all his next sins are forgiven.” The only requirement for anybody who stays during the night of Qadr (and is also pardoned) is that they understand the veracity of his Lord’s statements and assurances.
