Translation of Surah Hadid English

  1. Glorify Allah is He who is in the heavens and the earth, and He is the All-Wise.
  2. He alone possesses mastery over the realms of the heavens and the earth. He gives life and causes death. He has power over all things.
  3. He is the First and the Last, the Revealed and the Unseen, and He is the All-Knower of all things.
  4. He it is who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and then He established Himself on the Throne. He knows what enters the earth and what comes out of it, and what descends from the heaven and what ascends to it. He accompanies you in every place, and Allah is fully aware of all your actions.
  5. To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and to Allah all matters are returned.
  6. He merges the night into the day and merges the day into the night, and He knows the secrets of the breasts.
  7. Believe in Allah and His Messenger and spend out of that in which He has made you successors. So those of you who believe and spend will have a great reward.
  8. And what is the matter with you that you do not believe in Allah, while the Messenger calls you to believe in your Lord and has taken a covenant from you if you are believers?
  9. It is He who sends down clear signs to His servant that He may bring you out of darkness’s into the light. Indeed, Allah is to you Most Kind, Most Merciful.
  10. And what is the matter with you that you do not spend in the way of Allah, while to Allah belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth. None of you can be equal to those who spent and fought before the conquest. These are the ones who are greater in rank with Allah than those who spent and fought afterwards. And to each one Allah has promised a good reward, and Allah is Aware of what you do.
  11. Who is he that will lend to Allah a goodly loan, so that He may multiply it for him, and for him is a goodly reward?
  12. On the Day when you will see the believing men and the believing women, their light running before them and on their right (it will be said to them), “Give you good tidings today of gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide therein forever.” That is the great achievement.
  13. On the Day when the hypocrites, men and women, will say to those who have believed, “Wait for us, that we may take light from your light.” It will be said, “Go back behind you, then seek light.” Then a wall will be set up between them, with a gate in it, within which is mercy, and beyond it is punishment.
  14. They will call out to them, “Were we not with you?” They will say, “Why not?” But you were tempted and you were perplexed and you were in doubt, and your desires deceived you until the command of Allah came to you, and Satan deceived you about Allah.
  15. On this Day, no deliverance shall be granted by means of ransom, neither to you nor to the disbelievers. Your abode is Hell. He is your companion. What an evil destination!
  16. Has not the time come for those who believe that their hearts should submit to the reminder of Allah and to what has been revealed to them, the religion of truth? And not be like those who received the Book before them, but a long period was extended over them, so their hearts hardened. And many of them are disobedient.
  17. And know that Allah gives life to the earth after its death. We have made clear to you the signs that you may understand.
  18. Indeed, the charitable men and the charitable women, and those who lend to Allah a goodly loan, it will be doubled for them, and they will have a good reward.
  19. And those who believe in Allah and His Messengers are the truthful and the martyrs with their Lord. They will have their reward and their light. And those who disbelieve and deny Our verses are the companions of the Fire.
  20. Know that this worldly life is nothing but play and spectacle and adornment and boasting of one another and desiring to increase one another in wealth and children. Like the state of rain, its greenness delights the farmers, then it dries up, so you see it yellow, then it crumbles into pieces. And in the Hereafter is a severe punishment, and forgiveness from Allah and His pleasure. And what is the life of this world but a means of deception?
  21. Race towards forgiveness from your Lord and towards a Garden as wide as the heavens and the earth, prepared for those who believe in Allah and His Messengers. This is the bounty of Allah. He gives it to which He wills. And Allah is the Oft-Bountiful.
  22. Whatever misfortune befalls the earth or yourselves is already in a Book before We bring it into being. Indeed, that is easy with Allah.
  23. So that you do not grieve over what passes away from you, nor be disheartened by what He has given you. And Allah does not like the disheartened, the boastful.
  24. That who is stingy and enjoins stinginess on others and whoever turns away, then indeed, Allah is the Most Gracious.
  25. But we sent our messengers with clear signs, and we sent with them the Book and the Balance (of Justice) that people may maintain justice. And we sent down iron, in which are weapons of war and benefits for people, and that Allah may know who helps Him and His messengers in secret. Indeed, Allah is the Most Strong, the Most Mighty.
  26. And we sent Noah and Abraham, and we bestowed upon their descendants prophethood and the Book, so some of them were guided, and many of them were disobedient.
  27. Then We sent after them other messengers from Us, and after them We sent Jesus, the son of Mary, and We gave him the Gospel, and those who believed in him were.
