  1. By the star when it sets.
  2. Your companion has neither gone astray nor been led astray.
  3. Nor does he speak of his own desire.
  4. This is a revelation that comes to him.
  5. The Mighty One (Gabriel) has taught him.
  6. The Mighty One, then he stood firm (in his true form).
  7. And he was on a high bank (of the sky).
  8. Then he drew near, then he drew nearer.
  9. Then the distance was two bows or less.
  10. Then he inspired in the heart of the servant of Allah what the heart inspires.
  11. He did not lie in what he saw.
  12. Then you dispute about what he saw.
  13. And he saw it once more.
  14. At the Sidrat al-Muntahi.
  15. With whom is the Paradise of the Highest.
  16. While that Sidrat was overshadowed by that which was overshadowed.
  17. Neither has the eye strayed nor transgressed.
  18. Indeed, he has seen the great signs of his Lord.
  19. Then have you seen Al-Lat and Al-Uzza?
  20. And the third, Manat, the lowly one.
  21. Do you have sons and He has daughters?
  22. Then indeed, this is an evil division.
  23. These are only names that you and your fathers have invented, for which Allah has sent down no authority. They follow only conjecture and their desires, while guidance has come to them from their Lord.
  24. Then does man get what he desires?
  25. So the Hereafter and this world are in the power of Allah.
  26. And how many angels are in the heavens whose intercession avails nothing except after Allah has given permission and approved for whom He wills.
  27. Indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter, they call the angels by the names of their wives.
  28. And they know nothing of this, they follow only illusion, and illusion avails nothing in place of the truth.
  29. Then do not pay attention to him who has turned away from Our remembrance and desires only the life of this world.
  30. This is the extent of their understanding. Indeed, your Lord knows best who has strayed from His path and who has been guided.
  31. And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, that He may requite the evildoers for their deeds and reward the doers of good with good.
  32. Those who avoid major sins and indecencies but not small sins. Indeed, your Lord is Oft-Forgiving. He knows you well when He created you from the earth and when you were in your mothers’ wombs. So do not consider yourselves pure. He knows best the righteous.
  33. Have you seen the one who turned away?
  34. And gave a little and his heart became hard.
  35. Does He have knowledge of the unseen that He sees?
  36. Has not the news reached him of what is in the scriptures of Moses?
  37. And of Abraham who fulfilled (his covenant).
  38. That no one will bear the burden of another.
  39. And that man will only be rewarded for what he has done.
  40. And that his effort will soon be seen.
  41. Then he will be fully recompensed.
  42. And that to your Lord is the return for all.
  43. And that He makes people laugh and cry.
  44. And that He kills and gives life.
  45. And that He created the male and female pairs.
  46. From a drop when it is dropped.
  47. And that it is His to raise them up a second time.
  48. And that He enriches and enriches.
  49. And that He is the Lord of the poets.
  50. And that He destroyed the first generation of ‘Ad.
  51. And Thamud, so He left them not.
  52. And before them the people of Noah, indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious.
  53. And He destroyed the town that was overturned.
  54. So that which overtook it overtook.
  55. So which of the favors of your Lord will you doubt?
  56. This is a warner from the first warners.
  57. The coming has drawn near.
  58. There is none to avert it except Allah.
  59. So do you wonder at this?
  60. And you laugh and do not weep.
  61. And you play.
  62. So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship Him.
