Summary of Surah Al-Baqarah (Verses 105–141)

In the Name of Allah Almighty, in this essay we will read about the Summary of Surah Al-Baqarah (Verses 105–141). In verse 104, it is clearly stated that “O you who believe! (When you do not understand something of the Prophet, then repeat it for clarification) do not say, “Ra’ina” (i.e., be considerate of us) (because the Jews and the hypocrites also use it in the sense of insult.

 So, say, “O Messenger of Allah! Pay attention to us and (it is even more polite to first listen to the Prophet’s words).” That is, the believers are not allowed to use such a word in the honor of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that an evil-natured person can use in a hint, allusion or outright insult.

Then it was told that the repentance for the crime of worshipping the calf was accepted in such a way that they killed each other with their own hands, their faces were distorted and they were given the form of humiliated monkeys and then they were faced with death. The Children of Israel were enmity towards Gabriel (peace be upon him) because through him Allah’s punishment was revealed to the Children of Israel.

So, Allah said that Gabriel and Michael only reveal the commands of Allah Almighty. So whoever is an enemy to them is an enemy to Allah. The Children of Israel’s delusion that they were loved by Allah Almighty without any entitlement was also rejected.

The believers were told that unless you follow the desires of the Jews and Christians, they will not be pleased with you. Verse 123 and the following verses mention the appointment of Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him) to the position of Imamate.

It mentions the construction of the House of Allah by Prophet Abraham and Prophet Ishmael (peace be upon them), and it is narrated that after the construction of the House of Allah, they prayed to Allah Almighty: “O our Lord, send among them (the people of Mecca) a great Messenger from among themselves, who will recite to them Your verses and teach them the Book and wisdom.”

That is why the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to say that I am the glad tidings of Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) and the fruit of the prayer of Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him).
