A brief introduction to the Rakats For Fajr prayer
The Fajr prayer (morning prayer) consists of a total of two rak’ahs of Sunnah and two rak’ahs of Fardh.
The first two rak’ahs Rakats of Sunnah: These are the “Sunnah Muqaddah”, meaning that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) always prayed them and strictly followed them. These are performed before the Fardh prayer of Fajr.
The last two rak’ahs Rakats of Fardh: These are an integral part of the Fajr prayer, which are obligatory for every Muslim man and woman.
