Then he raised his head smiling. It was asked, “What is the reason for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) smiling?” He said, “A blessed Surah has been revealed.” Then he recited Bismillah, Ar-Rahman, Ar-Rahim, and recited Surah Al-Kawthar.

Let’s we read full Surah Kauthar English Translation

(O Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) We have indeed granted you (abundance of every good and virtue) Kauthar.
Establish prayer and sacrifice to your Lord (this is a gift of gratitude).
Indeed, your enemy will be without offspring and without name and trace.

Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Do you know what Al-Kawthar is?” The companions said, “Allah knows and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) knows best.”

He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “(Al-Kawthar) is a river that my Lord has given me in Paradise.” Allah revealed Surah Al-Kawthar to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to give peace to his heart.

Along with this, he also gave an answer to those who, may Allah forbid, said that Muhammad (peace be upon him) had become abtar (disinherited), but he saw with his own eyes that whoever said this sentence and whoever supported this sentence had themselves become abtar (disinherited).

Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the eldest son of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was Qasim (may Allah be pleased with him), the youngest was Hazrat Zainab (may Allah be pleased with him), the youngest was Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), then in that order Hazrat Umm Kulthum (may Allah be pleased with him), Hazrat Ruqayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with him).

First of them was Hazrat Qasim (may Allah be pleased with him), then Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) also died, upon which Al-As bin Wail said, “His lineage has ended, now they have become abtar (i.e. their roots have been cut off). Among those who spoke such nonsense were Uqbah bin Abi Mu’eet, Abu Jahl and Abu Lahab.

On the contrary, Allah Almighty gave His Prophet (peace be upon him) four daughters and these daughters gave birth to children. At that time, there was no country, no city, no town, no street in the whole world where the children of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) were not residing.

This is the true meaning of this blessed verse in which Allah Almighty said to His beloved: O My Prophet, we have given you Kauthar, that is, everything in abundance.
