In this whole situation, only Abu Lahab bin Abdul Muttalib, the uncle of the Prophet (peace be upon him), was there. In Arabia, an uncle was considered the father’s brother, so this was not expected of an uncle.
This person violated all these traditions in his hostility to Islam and love of disbelief, so Allah Almighty condemned him by name.

May both hands of Abu Lahab be broken and he be destroyed (he has tried to raise his hand against our beloved)
His (inherited) wealth did not benefit him, nor his earnings
Soon he will be thrown into the blazing Fire
And his (wicked) wife (also) who carries (on her head) a load of (thorny) sticks, (and lays them on our beloved’s paths at night to injure his feet) Around her neck will be (the same) rope of date-bark (with which she ties a bundle of thorns)
