Taraweeh is a confirmed sunnah for every sane and adult man and woman. It is not permissible to abandon it (Dar Mukhtar, Vol. 2, p. 493).

There are twenty rak’ahs of Taraweeh. During the time of Sayyiduna Farooq-e-Azam (may Allah be pleased with him), only twenty rak’ahs were offered. (Al-Sunan al-Kubra by al-Bayhaqi, Vol. 2, p. 299, No. 4617).

Congregational Taraweeh is a confirmed sunnah, and it is sufficient. (Hidayah, Vol. 1, p. 70).

The time for Taraweeh is from after performing the obligatory prayer of Isha until dawn. If you perform it before performing the obligatory prayer of Isha, it will not be valid. (Alamgiri, Vol. 1, p. 115).

Taraweeh can be offered even after the obligatory prayer of Isha and Witr (Dar Mukhtar, Vol. 2, p. 494).

If Taraweeh is missed, it is not qadha. (Dar Mukhtar, Vol. 2, p. 494).

It is better to perform the twenty rak’ahs of Taraweeh in twos, with ten salutations. He should perform it with, Darmukhtar, Vol. 2, p. 495

He should make a separate intention for each of the two rak’ahs of Taraweeh. ( Darmukhtar, Vol. 2, p. 494)

It is disliked to perform Taraweeh sitting without an excuse, and in fact, according to some jurists, it is not permissible. ( Darmukhtar, Vol. 2, p. 499)

It is preferable to perform Taraweeh in congregation in the mosque. If one performs Taraweeh in congregation at home, it will be done, but one will not get the same reward as performing it in the mosque. ( Alamgiri, Vol. 1, p. 116)

Completing the Quran in Taraweeh is a confirmed Sunnah, sufficient for all, meaning that if one of the people of the area completes the Quran in Taraweeh, then the Sunnah has been fulfilled on behalf of all, so there is no harm if one does not complete the Quran in Taraweeh at home. If for some reason the Tarawih prayer is invalidated, then the amount of the Holy Quran that was recited in those rak’ahs should be repeated, so that there is no loss in the completion of the Quran. (Alamgiri, Vol. 1, p. 118)

If the Imam mistakenly leaves out a verse or a surah and moves on, it is recommended that he recite it and move on. (Alamgiri, Vol. 1, p. 118)

If he forgets to sit for two rak’ahs of Tarawih, then he should sit until the third rak’ah is performed. Finally, he should perform the prostration of forgetfulness. If he has performed the third rak’ah, he should complete four rak’ahs. However, these will be counted as two. Yes, if he had performed the Qa’dah on two, then it would be four. (Alamgiri, Vol. 1, p. 118)

If he has recited three rak’ahs and offered the salaam, if he had not sat on the second, then it would not have been done. He should offer two rak’ahs again in lieu of them, Alamgiri. (Vol. 1, p. 118)

After offering the salaam, some say it was two, some say it was two. Three, then what the Imam remembers is reliable. If the Imam himself is hesitant, then he should accept the word of the one he trusts. (Alamgiri, Vol. 1, p. 117)

If people doubt whether it was twenty or eighteen? Then each person should pray two rak’ahs alone. (Alamgiri, Vol. 2, p. 117)

It is preferable that the recitation be equal in every two rak’ahs, if not, there is no harm in doing so. (Vol. 1, p. 117)

The Imam and the follower should recite the Tawheed at the beginning of every two rak’ahs, the Imam should also recite Ta’wudh and Tasmiyah, and after the Tahiyah, Durood-e-Ibrahim and Dua. (Dur Mukhtar, Vol. 2, p. 498)

If the Holy Quran is finished on the 27th or before, then continue to pray Taraweeh until the end of Ramadan, as it is a confirmed Sunnah. (Alamgiri, Vol. 1, p. 118)

Some follower sits when the Imam is about to bow, then they stand up. This is a sign of hypocrites. (Bahar-e-Shariah, Part 4, p. 36)

It is preferable to pray Witr in congregation during Ramadan. Whoever has performed the Isha fard without congregation can also perform Witr with congregation. (Fatawa Nooriya Vol. 1, p. 559)
