The Tasbeeh prayer consists of four rak’ahs, which can be performed with one salam or with two salams (in two rak’ahs). A total of 75 tasbeehs are recited in each rak’ah. The method is as follows:
First rak’ah:
After the Takbir Tahrima, recite Thana.
After the Ta’wud and Tasmiyah, recite Surah Fatiha and any Surah.
After finishing the recitation, recite Tasbeeh 15 times while standing:
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ
Go to Ruku’ and recite the same Tasbeeh 10 times after the Ruku’s Tasbeeh (Subhan Rabbiyyah al-‘Azeem).
When raising your head from bowing, recite the Tasbeeh 10 times after saying (Sami’Allah liman hamidahu, Rabbana wa laka al-hamd).
After performing the first prostration, recite the Tasbeeh of prostration (Subhaan Rabbiyyah al-A’la) 10 times.
Between prostration and sitting (while sitting), recite the Tasbeeh 10 times.
After performing the second prostration, recite the Tasbeeh of prostration 10 times.
Count: Standing (15) + Bowing (10) + Rising from Bowing (10) + First Sajdah (10) + Between the two Sajdahs (10) + Second Sajdah (10) = Total 75 Tasbeehs
Rest of Rak’ahs:
The method of the second, third and fourth Rak’ahs is exactly the same. In each Rak’ah, 75 Tasbeehs will be recited in the same order.
Important Note: In the third Rak’ah, 15 Tasbeehs will be recited while standing before sitting for the Tashahhud, because this is the stage after the Qira’ah.
