Four Rakaats of Fardh: This is an integral part of Isha Prayer. Performing them is obligatory upon every Muslim and performing them in congregation is Sunnah Muqaddah.
Two Rak’ahs of Sunnah Muqaddah: These two Rak’ahs are performed immediately after the obligatory prayers. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) always performed them and maintained them.
Three Rak’ahs of Witr: This is the final part of the Isha prayer. Performing Witr is obligatory and is specific to the Isha prayer.
Two Rak’ahs of Nafl: After this, two Rak’ahs of Nafl are also Sunnah, which are preparation for the Tahajjud prayer at the end of the night.

Standing at night: It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “If people knew what (reward) is in the Isha and Fajr prayers, they would definitely come, even if they had to crawl.” (Sahih Bukhari) — This hadith describes the greatness of these two prayers.
The Trial of the Hypocrites: It was narrated from Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The prayers that the hypocrites consider the most difficult are the Isha and Fajr prayers.” (Sahih Bukhari) — This prayer distinguishes between a believer and a hypocrite.
The Time of Acceptance of Prayer: It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Get up in the last part of the night and pray, for at that time prayer is seen and supplication is accepted.” — The voluntary prayers after Isha are part of this virtue.
Success in the Hereafter: Allah says: “Successful indeed are the believers who are humble in their prayers.” (Surah Al-Mu’minun: 1-2) — The Isha prayer is the best opportunity for humility and submission.
