  • Stand up and admonish.
  • And proclaim the magnificence of your Lord.

  • And avoid the filth of polytheism.
  • And do not give good for more than it.
  • So remain steadfast for the command of your Lord.
  • Then, when the Trumpet is blown.
  • Then that Day will be hard.
  • Meaning, it will be unbearable for the disbelievers.
  • Abandon him to Me—the one I brought into being without help.
  • And I gave him much wealth.
  • And I gave him sons who are always present.
  • And I increased him in all types of goods.
  • But he desires that I should give him more.
  • That shall never be. He has been a stubborn enemy of our verses.
  • I shall give him a stubborn challenge.
  • He weighed the situation and decided on one thing.
  • How did he intend to be killed?
  • Then how did he offer to be murdered?
  • Then he glanced.
  • Then he frowned and turned aside.
  • Then he turned his back and was conceited.
  • Then he remarked, “This is magic that has been on a par with the people of old.”
  • Then he declared, this is nothing but human speech, not the word of Allah.
  • I shall presently compel him to enter the Pit.
  • And what do you suppose is the Pit?
  • It is a blazing fire that will neither fade away nor give any escape.
  • And will burn the body and make it black.
  • And above it is nineteen keepers.
  •  We have made the angels guardians of Hell, and placed their number as a test for the unbelievers — so that the People of the Book may be sure it is the truth from their Lord, and believers shall become firmer in faith, and neither the People of the Book nor the believers will be in doubt. And as for those whose diseased hearts are with hypocrisy and who deny the truth, they will say: ‘What does Allah intend to convey with this parable? ‘ In this way, Allah allows whom He wills to stray, and He grants guidance to whom He wills. None but Him knows the soldiers of your Lord.
  • And this Qur’an is only a warning for mankind.

  • And by the night when it departs.
  • And by morning, when it glows.
  • That is, the Fire is a huge disaster.

  • Why did you end up in Hell?
  • They will respond that we were not among those who prayed.
  • Nor did we feed the poor.
  • And we used to dispute with those who disputed.
  • And we had always rejected the reality of the Day of Recompense.
  • Until death overtook us.
  • So, the intercession of those who intercede will not be of use to them.

  • They are like startled donkeys running in retreat.
  • Who ran away in fear of the lion.
